Sidetracked Exhibition Friday July 13-August 5

Sidetracked , was a one man exhibition by Steven Schwab, that showcased Mr. Schwab’s train photographs and dioramas from train stations around the world.

Depot Museum and Art Gallery 525 Broadway, Beverly Shores IN.

The photographs are intentionally blurred to give them a sense of motion.  The windows on the train offer a glimpse of the passengers seen going about everyday activities such as reading a newspaper, talking on the phone or laughing while the train speeds them to their destination.  The dioramas are a study exploring the relationship between humanity and machine as the people on the platform and trainspotters are either mesmerized by or oblivious to this high-speed world whizzing by them as they dance, bicycle, and move about their daily lives on the sidetrack.
